Netflix stops basic ad-free plan in US, UK. Know what happened
Netflix has recently put an end to its basic ad-free plan that started at $9.99 (£6.99) and promised an ad-free experience with support for HD content, albeit, one device at a time. It’s gone now.

If you maintain your current subscription to the basic plan without any cancellations or plan changes, you can continue enjoying it. However, if you intended to switch to a more affordable ad-free plan on Netflix, unfortunately, that option is no longer available.
What are the current available Netflix plans in the US and UK?
Netflix now provides three subscription tiers: an ad-supported tier priced at $6.99 (£4.99) per month, the standard plan at $15.49 (£10.99) per month, and the premium plan at $19.99 (£15.99) per month.
The basic tier, priced at $9.99 per month, used to offer a compromise between Netflix's pricier ad-free tiers and its ad-supported plan. With the basic tier, you could enjoy streaming in high definition (HD) but limited to one device at a time. But, sadly it’s a thing of past now.
