Netflix movies: Spider-Man, Dune to Fifty Shades of Grey - list of movies to be removed in September

Netflix US subscribers must pay attention as more than 50 movies will be removed from the OTT streaming giant's vast library. This will be effective from September 1.

This means Netflix US viewers will have to watch these movies by August 31. Netflix has this tendency to remove shows and movies from region-specific library.

Popular movies that will leaving Netflix are "American Hustle", "Spider-Man", "Spider-Man 2", "Spider-Man 3", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It", "Pokémon Detective Pikachu", "The Conjuring", "The Conjuring 2", and 'Dune', and "Fifty Shades of Grey", as per a report on WhatsOnNetflix.

Netflix saw a more than 150 per cent surge in upfront ad commitments for this year, the streaming giant said on Tuesday, thanks in part to the National Football League (NFL) games coming to the platform on Christmas Day.

In its second year of upfront negotiations — where networks and media companies aim to secure ad commitments for upcoming shows — Netflix successfully closed advertising deals with all major holding companies and independent agencies.
