Netflix cancels ‘Inside Job’ despite earlier season 2 renewal; Details here

Netflix announced in June during Geeked Week that the 'Inside Job' will have another season. However, show maker Shion Takeuchi discloses that it will no longer be renewed.

The show is a comedy set up in a Cognito workplace, a hidden organisation that helps control the world. It leads by a team headed by Reagan Ridley (Lizzy Caplan), a robotics engineer.

Inside Job season one was divided into two parts, one premiered in October 2021 and the other in November 2022. Netflix announced the second season early on but now taken a back step.


Shion Takeuchi tweeted on January 9, apologizing with broken heart emoji for the future of the show.

The creator of Gravity Falls said he is heartbroken with Netflix canceling Inside Job season 2 as with time the characters had become real people to him.


Netflix, however, has not yet released an official statement announcing the cancellation of the show. The show had 18 episodes in total divided into ten for its first half and eight for its second.

Takeuchi thanked everyone for watching the show and expresses distress over losing characters like Reagan and Brett who deserved a happy ending.

Takeuchi created and produced 'Inside Job' with Alex Hirschand of 'Gravity Falls' and Mike Hollingsworth of 'BoJack Horseman'.

The series has a cast of Caplan, Christian Slater, Clark Duke, Tisha Campbell, John DiMaggio, Brett Gelman, Andy Daly, and Chris Diamantopoulos. William Jackson Harper and Adam Scott also appeared in important roles.
