Netflix is now emerging as one of the leaders in the sporting events live streaming, and now they have reached a major milestone by bagging the streaming rights for one of FIFA's most coveted event. Getting a streaming right for a FIFA World Cup event is never easy, and has certain obstacles and intense competition along the way, but Netflix jumped all the hoops and landed this big deal, not once, but for two consecutive editions as per CNBC's latest report.

Netflix outbid every other competitor in its category out there, in order to bag the streaming rights for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027, which will see some of the best women footballers take the stage and display dominating performance, in order to win the most coveted honor for any nation in women's football.

If this was not enough, the streaming giant also managed to secure a great deal for the subsequent edition of FIFA Women's World Cup that falls in 2031. In the lead-up to this tournament, Netflix has stated that it will be hosting a plethora of content around women's football in order to build up the necessary hype. They are also promising to include top-tier commentators who will be providing their analysis across the 12 cities in Brazil where the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 will be taking place, according to CNBC.
