Netflix bags 6 Oscars at 95th Academy Awards. All you need to know
Netflix has made significant achievements at the 95th Academy Awards with 6 wins.

In total, Netflix earned six Oscars on Sunday, out of the 16 nominations they received this year. This impressive feat placed them second among distributors and studios, behind only A24 who had a total of nine wins, with seven of them being attributed to the highly acclaimed film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.
Edward Berger's adaptation of the iconic World War I novel, "All Quiet on the Western Front", proved to be a huge success at the 95th Academy Awards, earning four Oscars out of the nine nominations it received. The film's wins included the international feature category, as well as cinematography (awarded to James Friend), original score (by Volker Bertelmann) and production design (by Christian M. Goldbeck and Ernestine Hipper).
Prior to its success at the Oscars, the film had already made waves at the BAFTA Awards in the UK, where it garnered a record-breaking seven wins. These included best film, director (for Berger), adapted screenplay, cinematography, sound, original score and non-English language film. Despite its grim and unsettling nature, "All Quiet on the Western Front" has clearly resonated with audiences and critics alike, earning recognition and accolades across multiple award ceremonies.
In addition to its success with "All Quiet on the Western Front," Netflix also took home the Oscar for best animated feature film with Guillermo del Toro's stop-motion adaptation of the classic fairy tale, "Pinocchio." The film triumphed over four other contenders in the category, including Netflix's "The Sea Beast", A24's "Marcel the Shell With Shoes On", Universal-DreamWorks Animation's "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish", and Disney-Pixar's "Turning Red".
Netflix also secured a win in the documentary short film category with "The Elephant Whisperers." The documentary follows Bomman and Bellie, an Indigenous couple in south India, who dedicate their lives caring for an orphaned baby elephant. Director Kartiki Gonsalves spent five years chronicling their story for the documentary.
Previously, Netflix won a total of 16 Oscars out of 116 nominations overall. However, the streaming giant has yet to secure a win in the coveted best picture category. This year, "All Quiet on the Western Front" was nominated in the category, but it ultimately went to "Everything Everywhere All at Once." Nonetheless, Netflix's continued success in multiple categories demonstrates the platform's growing influence in the film industry.
