A big recall has prompted thousands of homes in the U.S. and Canada to check their outdoor tools. Major stores are pulling almost 780,000 Ryobi electric pressure washers off the market. Dozens of explosions and injuries linked to parts that got too hot led to the recall.

Regulators say the problem is very dangerous, and customers are being told to stop using the affected models right away, as per a report by Fox Business.

Why are they recalling the Ryobi pressure washers?

Due to a dangerous flaw, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a huge recall of almost 780,000 Ryobi electric pressure washers. The problem is with the unit's capacitor, which can get too hot and break. When this happens, parts can be thrown out with a lot of force, which could hurt people who are using it or standing nearby.

The accidents that have been reported show how dangerous the defect can be when the equipment is being used. Regulators are stressing how important it is to stop using it until repairs are made, as per a report by Fox Business.

What should people do if they own a model that is affected?
