NBA Slam Dunk contest 2022: Aaron Gordon of Denver Nuggets scores second-best dunk of season

American professional basketball player, Aaron Gordon scored 85 dunks – the second-highest in this NBA season. Gordon who plays for the Denver Nuggets of the NBA has scored the second-best after Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Gordon also made a record for scoring the most dunks in an NBA game on Christmas day by hitching 7 dunks against the Phoenix Suns on December 25.

Gordon got one dunk in overtime that was very decisive for the final outcome of the game. He got this dunk by sprinting the ball up the court in transition before he could take off from afar and stopped Phoenix’s Landry Shamet from taking charge.


At this turn of the game, the officials called a charge on Gordon but reversed the call, which helped the Nuggets team to increase its one-point lead to three. With this, the Denver Nuggets gained a victory against Phoenix Suns and secured first place in the Western Conference of the NBA.
