The 25-year-old, who earned the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award in 2023-24, will reportedly have a player option for the 2029-30 season. Previously, he had signed a three-year, $42 million agreement in 2023 with a player option.
Despite opportunities to secure a starting position and comparable compensation elsewhere, Reid chose to remain following his stellar season.
The LSU alumnus achieved career-best statistics, averaging 14.2 points and 6.0 rebounds across 27.5 minutes per game in 80 matches, while posting 18.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in 17 starts.
Reid stands among three players who have scored over 2,000 points as a substitute in the previous three seasons. He has also demonstrated excellent three-point shooting ability, converting 39.5 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc over the past two seasons.
Since joining Minnesota as an undrafted free agent in 2019, Reid has maintained averages of 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 406 games, including 74 starts.
