Nautilus: Where to watch former Disney+ series in UK and Ireland?

Through an exclusive agreement with Disney Entertainment, Prime Video was able to obtain the rights for Nautilus in the UK and Ireland. The protracted live-action Nautilus television series has now swum to Amazon.

Perceived as a part of Disney+ UK until the infamous streaming content removal plan last year, the series was based on Jules Verne's beloved Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. About a year ago, Disney announced it was discontinuing Nautilus, and shortly after, AMC said it would take it up, as per a report by Deadline.

Plot

The show Nautilus narrates the tale of Captain Nemo, who was taken from his birthright and family as an Indian prince. Together with a motley crew, he steals a powerful prototype submarine and makes his way into the Indian Ocean intending to exact revenge on the callous East India Mercantile Company.

Cast

Shazad Latif, Georgia Flood, Thierry Fremont and Céline Menville are the main actors in it; Richard E. Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor make cameo appearances.

In June 2024, Nautilus also debuted on SVT Play in Sweden and on France TV two months later. Distribution of Nautilus is handled by Disney Entertainment, which also thanks the Queensland government through Screen Queensland's Production Attraction Strategy and the Australian government through the location incentive.
