National Sandwich Day 2026: Americans heading out on November 3 may find a few ways to save on lunch, too. National Sandwich Day promotions are still available at some chains, while Election Day brings separate offers ranging from free doughnuts to discounted rides. With the midterm elections taking place on the same day, customers have several deals to check before heading out.

Subway, Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy John’s and Potbelly are among the chains offering sandwich promotions. Some deals are available only through an app or website, and others require a rewards account or a promo code.

National Sandwich Day 2026: Subway, Jersey Mike’s and more offers after voting today

Subway’s National Sandwich Day celebration began on October 27, but its footlong offer runs through November 8. Sub Club members can get a free footlong when they buy another footlong of equal or greater value. The deal is available for online and app orders at participating US restaurants, subject to restrictions and a limit of one offer per order.


The chain has also brought back its Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub and Caramel Apple Cookie for a limited time.

Jersey Mike’s is offering free delivery on November 3 for app and online orders of at least $5. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.

Jimmy John’s is giving JJ Rewards members a second qualifying sandwich or wrap free on November 3. Customers must order through the website or app and enter the code "SANDWICH". The offer can be used once and cannot be combined with other promotions.

Potbelly customers can buy a BIG or Original sandwich and get an Original sandwich or wrap free through the company’s website or app with the code "BOGO".

There are more offers to consider. Firehouse Subs is offering a free medium sub with an online or app order of at least $15. Schlotzsky’s rewards members can get medium sandwiches for $5 through November 3, while Capriotti’s rewards members can take 50% off a second sub on November 3.

At participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations, eligible rewards members can add a 20-ounce soft drink for $1 when buying a qualifying market or deli sandwich.

Midterm election day 2026 freebies include doughnuts and ride discounts

Sandwiches are not the only way to save on November 3. TheStreet reported offers from Krispy Kreme, Lyft, Hertz and some public transit agencies for Election Day.

Krispy Kreme is offering one free Original Glazed doughnut at participating US locations. Customers can say they voted or show an “I Voted” sticker to claim it. No purchase is required, but the offer is limited to one doughnut per guest while supplies last.

Lyft is offering 50% off one eligible ride up to $10 with the code "VOTE26". The promotion covers rides to polling places or in some states, registered ballot drop boxes. It is available from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time on November 3.

Hertz is offering one free rental day on rentals of at least two days at participating neighborhood locations. Customers must use code "211636." But some vehicle types are excluded.

Check the terms before claiming a deal on National Sandwich Day

Not every promotion is available at every location as some require a rewards membership, an app/ online order, a minimum purchase or a specific promo code. Others have limits on how often they can be used.

Customers should check the relevant company’s website or app before placing an order or making travel plans, particularly if they intend to use a deal on November 3.
