The NASCAR Chicago Street Race is here. The excitement among the car racing fans seems to be enormous as numerous drivers will compete on Chicago’s most historic roads.

NASCAR Chicago Street Race has caught the attention of numerous viewers around the world. The race, which is first of its kind, will be held on Sunday.

After months of anticipation, the live action, which was originally planned for 4:30 p.m, will be witnessed by the fans at 4:05 p.m. CT.

The street race, which is the first in series history, is posing numerous challenges for the drivers in various ways. In it, the drivers will maneuver through some of Chicago’s most historic roads.


NASCAR Chicago Street Race: When is it?


The Xfinity Series, which is also called The Loop 121, had begun at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday but had to be postponed due to inclement weather. This race, which is also the second-highest level of stock car race below the Cup Series, was rescheduled for 10 a.m. CT on Sunday due to a rain delay. At 9 a.m., the gates are scheduled to open. NASCAR Chicago Street Race, which is also known as Grant Park 220, will start at 4:05 p.m. CT.

NASCAR Chicago Street Race: What is the course?


Both the Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series races will be held on the 2.2-mile course, which is located in the heart of Chicago.

The race will begin from South Columbus Drive alongside the iconic Buckingham Fountain before turning to East Balbo Drive and staring directly at Lake Michigan. Many turns will be made on DuSable Lake Shore Drive and East Roosevelt Road, back onto South Columbus Drive and East Balbo Drive. The race will then move onto South Michigan Avenue, Congress Plaza and Michigan Avenue again before beginning the lap all over again from South Columbus Drive.
