A new trailer for Ridley Scott's forthcoming epic film, 'Napoleon', was unveiled on Wednesday. The second trailer was released about a month before its scheduled theatrical premiere in November. The trailer, released by Apple Original Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment, showcases Joaquin Phoenix, who portrays the iconic French emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte.

48-year-old Phoenix's portrayal of Napoleon with a deadpan demeanor is set against the backdrop of Scott's signature explosive action sequences. These scenes will be quite familiar to fans of Scott's previous works like 'Gladiator,' "Kingdom of Heaven", and "Exodus: Gods and Kings".

The trailer shows that aftermath of French Revolution, Napoleon seizes control of the nation and proclaims himself emperor. His rule unfolds over several years, marked by diplomatic and military conflicts with various major European powers, including Great Britain.




In this historical drama, viewers can anticipate the portrayal of the romantic relationship between Napoleon and Empress Joséphine, a role brought to life by Vanessa Kirby.

In addition to showcasing Joaquin Phoenix as the titular commander, the trailer also provides glimpses of the romantic relationship between Bonaparte and his wife, Empress Joséphine. In the film, the role of Empress Joséphine is portrayed by Academy Award-nominee Vanessa Kirby.
