The 84-year-old California Democrat, who has seen her net worth soar over the past decade, is grappling with a sharp drop in her stock holdings due to a volatile market under US President Donald Trump’s economic policies, according to Daily Mail.

Pelosi’s investment portfolio takes a hit

Nancy Pelosi and Paul Pelosi, her husband who is a successful venture capitalist, have seen their combined net worth more than double over the past decade, reported Daily Mail. In 2014, their net worth stood at an estimated $123 million, but by 2024, it had ballooned to nearly $250 million, as per the report. In fact, earlier this year, Pelosi’s portfolio had reached $270 million, according to data compiled by Quiver Quantitative, reported Daily Mail.

The market's decline drags Pelosi’s wealth down

But the latest market slump, triggered by Trump's economic policies and trade tariffs, has negatively impacted Pelosi's portfolio. Quiver's tracking figures show Pelosi's net worth declined by $14.5 million since the beginning of January, according to Daily Mail.

Her portfolio consisting of tech stocks like Google, Salesforce, and Crowdstrike have suffered as the stocks plummeted, as per the report. Quiver co-founder Chris Kardatzke said, "We now estimate that she is worth just $259M," as quoted by Daily Mail.

According to Daily Mail, the couple owns Apple, Amazon, Alphabet (Google), chip giant NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks and a company that recently went public called Tempus AI.

Pelosi's stake in Amazon shares, valued at approximately $20 million, has also dropped more than 17% since January, reported Daily Mail. The Pelosis' portfolio includes large stakes in top tech firms. While Apple stock has fared well, appreciating by around $12 per share, most of the other stocks, such as Alphabet (Google) and Amazon, have fallen by considerable amounts.

However, Nancy and Paul also hold tens of millions of dollars worth of technology stocks that have performed very well, as per the report.

No involvement in family finances

Despite the losses, Pelosi’s office maintains that she has no involvement in the family finances, as per Daily Mail. Her spokesperson, Ian Krager, reiterated that Nancy Pelosi does not own any stocks herself and is not involved in any transactions. According to congressional filings, her husband Paul is the one responsible for managing and trading the stocks, and the disclosures are made in her spouse’s name, according to Daily Mail.
