Nancy Guthrie case: Video reveals inside the room where she was ‘snatched’

The search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, continues as investigators analyze fresh leads associated with her disappearance from her residence in Tucson earlier this year. Amid the continuing investigation, former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly recently revisited an old television segment that provided an unexpected glimpse into the bedroom where officials currently believe the reported kidnapping may have happened.

Old ‘Today’ Segment Resurfaces

During the Wednesday (March 11) episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly shared video from a 2013 segment that originally broadcasted on Today. In that program, Nancy Guthrie joined the show via satellite and demonstrated her everyday routine for making the bed in her bedroom.

“So what’s interesting about that clip is you can see where [Nancy] slept every night,”Kelly said, per Parade. “And you can see exactly what this abductor must have walked into. I mean, does anybody’s mother dramatically overhaul their bedroom when they’re in their 80s, 70s? I mean, that was, what, 13 years ago?” Kelly emphasized that the segment offered viewers a comprehended look at the arrangement of the room, that includes furniture placement and décor. “The point is simply you can see right into her bedroom and, generally, the way it was and the way it was set up. And she lives in the same house,” she stated.

Questions About Possible Clues

While discussing the resurfaced clip, Kelly also indicated that the old television segment could be relevant to specific claims made earlier in the investigation. “We had an alleged kidnapper note early on in the Nancy Guthrie scandal, claiming they knew exactly where she kept her Apple Watch,” Kelly described. “And they had described something inside Nancy’s bedroom…Did those people behind that note see this segment?”

As per Kelly, someone who watched the original broadcast might have been able to explain the room in detail. She cited that it would be possible to “write a very convincing kidnap note” regarding the information shared in the Today segment. “I could describe the inside of that room to a T,” she stated. “And if you didn’t know that the Today show had aired that footage in 2013, you would be very convinced that I had been inside Nancy Guthrie’s bedroom… I wonder whether the authorities are even aware that this was broadcast publicly.”

Currently, investigators say the search remains active as they continue to collect evidence and pursue fresh leads in hopes of finding Nancy Guthrie and bringing those accountable to justice.
