What do the new ransom notes say?
Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has taken a deeply unsettling turn after two new ransom notes claimed to hold crucial information about the missing 84-year-old woman.
The messages, according to reports, were sent yesterday by the same mystery individual who had earlier demanded one bitcoin in exchange for information linked to the case. Nancy, the mother of Today Show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since January 31.
The message was discussed by Harvey Levin during an appearance on air, where he revealed the outlet had received another communication from the same sender. One of the latest notes reportedly stated: “We got another letter today from this person, an email saying: ‘I know where her body is, and who the kidnapper is, give me half a bitcoin and I’ll tell you,” he said, per a report by The US Sun.

Where was Nancy Guthrie last seen?
Nancy was last seen around 9:45 pm on January 31 after being dropped off at her home in Tucson, Arizona, authorities said. Police previously noted that she has limited mobility and depends on daily medication, making the case even more urgent. Investigators also described evidence found at her residence as “concerning”, prompting officials to treat the home as a crime scene.
A neighbour later said the community feared she may have been abducted, adding that the front door had reportedly been left open.

How are investigators responding?
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office continues to lead the investigation and has not identified any suspects so far. TMZ said the FBI has been informed about the latest notes, while Border Patrol agents are also assisting in the search efforts. Nancy’s family, including Savannah Guthrie, continues to cooperate fully with authorities as the case remains unresolved, per a report by The US Sun.
The sender of the notes reportedly expressed frustration at being dismissed as a scam, writing that they had been ignored despite claiming to have valuable information.
