Mystery deepens on the death of Russian oligarch, his wife and daughter, who were 'axed to death'
Sergey Protosenya, a multi-millionaire Russian oligarch, was found dead in their Spanish mansion alongside his family. Russian oligarch's wife and daughter were found 'axed to death' before he allegedly committed suicide.

Sergey Protosenya, 55, allegedly 'axed to death' his wife Natalia, 53, and daughter Maria, 18, while the family was vacationing in their Spanish mansion in the fishing town of Lloret de Mar. Investigators found out that the couple and their daughter stayed in the Catalan fishing town and didn't bring their other child on that holiday. Their bodies were discovered around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19.
The discovery of the horrible incident occurred when the couple's son raised his concern over not being able to contact them as he opted to remain in France.
Reports show that Sergey Protosenya whose worth is over £333million. He raised to fame as the deputy chairman of the Board of Directors for Novatek, the natural gas company in Russia.
Firstly, he had been suspected of attacking the Russian oligarch's wife and daughter during their sleep and stabbing them to death. Then, he committed suicide. More surprisingly, no bloodstains were seen in the body of Protosenya. At the same time, the investigator team found the blood-stained socks apparently used as makeshift gloves to avoid fingerprints on the murder weapons – an axe and a knife.
As per the report of residents of Lloret de Mar, there was no previous record of domestic violence or abuse against Protosenya.
What seems more mysterious is that this seemingly domestic murder-suicide was discovered just after another Russian gas chief was found dead with his family in Moscow.
