Mysterious sinkhole found in Chile. Read how deep is it
A mysterious and massive sinkhole was recently discovered in Chile. As per the reports, the sinkhole dimensions are 105 feet in diameter and 11 feet in length. It comes under the deepest in World Rankings.

The National Service of Geology and Mining of Chile, Sernageomin, announced Monday that the Sinkhole was 25 meters or 82 feet in diameter. Still, the next day, the agency stated that its actual dimensions were 105 feet.

Where is the Sinkhole exactly located?
Drone images have shown that the Sinkhole is located on land utilized by a Canadian Lundin Mining Copper mine. Its exact location is around 665 Kilometres North of the Capital of Santiago.
What did the Canadian Company say about this?
The Canadian Company reportedly said that the Sinkhole was discovered on Saturday, quickly isolated the whole area, and contacted the concerned authorities immediately.
What did the officials say?
The Director of Sernageomin, David Montenegro, told the reporters that the Sinkhole is around 656 feet; in other words, it has a depth of 200 meters. He added that any material is not yet found and detected down there except for the presence of water. Regarding the details of the cause of the creation of the Sinkhole, no information has been provided.
What are the general causes of a Sinkhole formation?
The Department of Environment Protection of Pennsylvania reports that Sinkholes are usually formed by a decline in water levels, which occur during droughts or by excessive groundwater pumping. The imbalance of soil and the concentration of water are also said to be significant causes of Sinkhole formation.
Chile's sinkhole depth has made it rank the highest among the deepest sinkholes in the world, as stated by a report produced by Largest.org, which keeps track of the largest of everything in the world.
Yet another vast sinkhole named "Devil's Sinkhole" of Texas is 400 feet deep. It was discovered in 1867 and was smaller than the Sinkhole in Chile.
Many other giant sinkholes smaller than the Sinkhole of Chile include the Great Blue Hole, dimensionally 407 feet deep in Belize and another, the Sinkhole of Egypt called the Qattara Depression, 436 feet in depth.
The sinkholes with minor depths all around the world are found in Mexico. Its year is 2021, with a depth of 45 meters, that is, 150 feet.
