A mysterious meteor resembling a fireball was seen across Scotland. According to Glasgow Science Centre science communicator Steve Owens, usually such meteors turn to fine dust.

Owens said that the meteor seen last night might be as giant as a golf or cricket ball or slightly more significant than that. Considering the size, it's possible that some pieces of the fireball meteor might have landed.
