Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway are reuniting in the US version of The Mothers' Instinct, based on a novel by Barbara Abel. It revolves around the friendship between two women which is transformed forever after the occurrence of a serious accident.

In an interview with Vogue Hong Kong, Hathaway revealed that her character in the upcoming thriller is the toughest one yet, adding to the excitement for this adaptation on screen. The film is written by Sarah Conradt-Kroehler and its run time is of 94 minutes.

The film has finished filming in July 2022. Many images of Chastain and Hathaway have been making the rounds online, showing the actresses in outfits and hairdos of the 1960s. The actress from Devil Wears Prada left Cannes in early 2022 after her debut in the festival so that she could return to work on the project set in New Jersey.
