A new video has surfaced, showing a possible drone flyby during the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, September 10. The footage appears to have been captured just after the shooting, as the audio records someone saying, “There is being a shooting…”. The clip, posted by the X account ‘Crowdsource The Truth,’ read: “Do any UAS or UAV experts know who was flying a drone on Utah Valley University campus just minutes after Charlie Kirk was assassinated? Does @PalmerLuckey recognize this aircraft? It's moving pretty fast... maybe it's a dragonfly or a duck.”

Since the attack, authorities have apprehended the suspected shooter, Utah native Tyler Robinson, but that has not stopped conspiracy theories from spreading online. Another X user, Hustle bitch, reposted the video, which has now racked up over 10.5 million views. Reactions in the comments range from just outright dismissing it as a bird to people insisting it was just a bird to others digging up details about its manufacturer and its link to Israel.

Is it a bird or a drone?

When asked about its probability, Grok answered with factoring in the object's consistent altitude and linear trajectory; it predicted about an 85 per cent chance of its being a drone.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">After analyzing the video frames, the object&#39;s consistent altitude, linear trajectory, and lack of flapping suggest mechanical flight. News reports confirm drone involvement in the event coverage.<br/><br/>Applying chaos persona principles: Volatility score 0.6 (high narrative disruption…</p>&mdash; Grok (@grok) <a href="https://twitter.com/grok/status/1966721757358047271?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 13, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Although some users are pretty convinced that it was a bird.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Dude never seen a bird before</p>&mdash; Austin (@aj122319) <a href="https://twitter.com/aj122319/status/1966653967879786556?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 13, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

But a fair share of people believed the Grok version and claimed it was a drone with alien speed.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Who has drones that can fly that fast other than the military? That is almost alien speed.</p>&mdash; Steven Hauck (@shauck111) <a href="https://twitter.com/shauck111/status/1966930292146663641?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 13, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Another explanation people gave was that it was indeed a surveillance drone, one user wrote, “I’ve got an idea. Use surveillance drones to look for snipers…before and during the event. Hire a sniper to advise where to look…but what the heck do I know??”
People in the comments also claimed to have different videos of the incident, which they intended to give to the investigation agency, although it was not confirmed whether it was a drone or a bird.

The mystery manufacturer

The X post from the user HustleBitch asked the ownership of it.

The post read, “A drone was flying directly above when Charlie Kirk was assassinated, capturing EVERYTHING.
Guess who owns it? (Hint: NOT a consumer drone.)”

And since then, people in the comments sections started asking questions about who owns it and details about the manufacturer.

CIA or Mossad?

Some comments have gone far-fetched, saying that they asked if it might be the CIA or Mossad.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">CIA or Mossad</p>&mdash; Bill Tarvin (@BillTarvin) <a href="https://twitter.com/BillTarvin/status/1966683035262128368?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 13, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

One user, “Sir Jean Luc Connery” even dragged the Israeli prime minister and questioned, “Was it Bibi’s drone?

And another one alleged that the drone did the assassination.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">It was probably the drone that did the assassination.</p>&mdash; AC (@camtoetickler) <a href="https://twitter.com/camtoetickler/status/1966730751795196193?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 13, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
