Rock band Coldplay is all set to go on a world tour with its new album 'Music of the Spheres.'

But, they will also be showcasing something other than their music: eco friendly measures.

Their shows will be powered with clean energy from rechargeable show batteries created by BMW.

40 recyclable car batteries from the BMW i3 will replace diesel and gas generators at Coldplay's concerts.

The batteries will be recharged from solar installations and other such renewable sources.

There is more: kinetic flooring and power bikes which generate electricity as the fans move.

They will also plant a tree for every ticket sold. Remember, 5.4 million people bought tickets to their last tour.

Chris Martin & co spent two years consulting environmental experts on how to make this tour sustainable.

The tour kicks off in March, covering Central and North America, Europe, and ending in Rio de Janeiro in September.
