Monster Hunter Wilds: All we know about release date, platforms, gameplay and open beta test

Release Date

Capcom has confirmed the release date for Monster Hunter Wilds. The game is scheduled to launch on February 28, 2025. This announcement was made during the September 24, 2024 State of Play event. Initially, the release window was simply “early 2025,” but Capcom has now provided a specific date.

Platforms

At launch, Monster Hunter Wilds will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. However, Capcom confirmed that it will not be available on Nintendo Switch.

Showcase Livestream

On October 23, 2024, Capcom hosted a showcase livestream, revealing additional information about Monster Hunter Wilds. During this event, fans learned about three new monsters, a fresh locale and the upcoming Open Beta.

Open Beta Test

Capcom has announced an Open Beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. The beta will feature a story trial, character customization and a chance to battle the creature Doshaguma. The Open Beta will run on the following dates:

PlayStation Plus subscribers will have early access to the beta test, beginning on October 28, 2024.
