Modern Warfare 2: Gun Game mode to return in Season 2 for Call of Duty sequel
The return of classic game mode Gun Game to Modern Warfare 2 has been announced once Season 2 begins.

Now, another classic mode with a very identical heritage to the brand has been announced to debut in Season 2. The statement is in reference to Modern Warfare 2's Gun Game mode, which was playable in the 2019 edition.
The game mode was also included in Vanguard since it had been added during the Season 4 release. After many leaks claimed that Gungame will return with Gunfight, players immediately began to speculate that Gungame might return.
The official Call of Duty acknowledged the reintroduction of Gun Game by humorously reacting to a player's tweet, although there is still no news on the latter.
In case you don't remember, Gun Game begins with each participant starting with the identical weapon and loadout.
You receive a new, stronger weapon for each kill, and you must achieve a set amount of kills to win the game (usually 18).
Many Call of Duty players were pleased at the news as soon as they heard it since it meant that the multiplayer will finally "get some love" after previous upgrades concentrated on Warzone 2 and its brand-new Ashika Island-themed Resurgence map.
Others were curious as to whether Gunfight will return for Modern Warfare 2, as the Gunfight Tournaments have historically been popular among gamers.
Sadly, there hasn't been any official confirmation of that mode, but with one week till the launch of Season 2, Infinity Ward could be keeping the best for last.
