MLS: Lionel Messi finds new friends at Inter Miami, creates magic

It was an excellent beginning for Lionel Messi when he joined his former teammates at Inter Miami and they helped him create the magic he is known for. Argentina's hero was expected to show his class with the first match itself though he was playing away from his land and his people, and he did not disappoint his fans worldwide and the new ones in the U.S.A.

Former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba joined Messi in his first match for Inter Miami on Tuesday. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner took just eight minutes to score his first goal when Basquet found him a ball over the top. Messi also scored at the 94th-minute free kick and thrashed Cruz Azul.

The captain of the FIFA World Cup-winning team also found a new teammate in Robert Taylor who scored two goals against MLS team Atlanta United. It was Taylor who scored against Cruz Azul when the Mexican team eqaulized. Messi and Taylor participated together in the training before the match and none could have thought that they would make such a beautiful duo at the MLS.


The duo has become so dangerous that Taylor is proving quite a threat after the Argentine has arrived. Taylor scored two goals, one each from the left and the right wing. It was Messi who started the counterattack and assisted Taylor. Praising the Argentine, Taylor said that he creates enough space for everyone and there is good balance whenever Leo has the ball.
