Major League Baseball's (MLB) official season this year is finally here with the Opening Day games set to begin on Thursday. However, rain can add the element of surprise and may dampen baseball season spirits of MLB fans.

Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York may see rains due to low pressure zone building up the East Coast. These are the areas where baseball teams like Orioles, Phillies and Mets will play their Opening Day games. Although these forecasts may vary depending on the build-up of the low pressure zones.

MLB 2024: Latest weather updates around the game

Fox News reports suggest that there is a forecast of rain in Miami and Tampa in Florida region and Seattle in Washington region. However, the stadium infrastructure in these regions is equipped with retractable roofs and dome-like structure to prevent rains from dampening the baseball spirit.


According to Fox Weather, this Thursday night will see temperatures hover around 70 degrees when the first pitch is thrown in Arlington, Texas when Chicago Cubs go head-to-head against Texas Rangers.

According to Fox News, if any or more MLB games see heavy rains disrupting the games altogether, all the teams will see a scheduled off on Friday. MLB will see cooler temperatures and better conditions of play for the rest of the season, says Fox Forecast.
