MLB (Major League Baseball) has a new sponsorship deal with Capital One. Though the terms of the deal are not made public officially, however as per sources familiar with this matter, the deal is worth $125 Million. And this new contract makes Capital One the official bank and credit card partner for the next five years.

As per this sponsorship deal, Capital One will be the presenting sponsor for the World Series, and the bank will be able to use MLB and its 30 teams in advertising and promotional campaigns.

The league's agreement with Capital One comes weeks after the league and the MLB Players Association settled a nearly 100-day labor dispute. Spring training and the regular season have been delayed due to the work stoppage and now is expected to begin on April 7.

With the labor disputes settled, MLB is ready to roll out additional assets around this sport. As per MLB Chief Revenue Officer Noah Garden, this season may come up with new helmet sponsorship along with new jersey ad patches, which are to be premiered in 2023.

The MLB team is also expecting the Uniform sponsorships to be worth $11 million. And Capital One will add to the MLB's sponsorship pull. MLB's sponsorship revenue has seen a rise from $1 billion during the 2020 season to an amount of $1.7 billion in 2022. The MLB had sponsorship deals valued at more than $900 million in 2019. As per the officials from the league, MLB now has more than 1,600 sponsorships on the local and national levels.

Noah Garden happily lauded capital one's sports promotion for MLB as its commercials feature star actor Samuel L. Jackson. Garden also added that official sponsors no longer use the MLB logo to feature on their ads; rather, the promotions these days are more inclusive and engaging.
