Missing Virginia coach Travis Turner’s wife defends him as he remains on the run amid shocking allegations of child pornography

The wife of missing Virginia high school football coach Travis Turner is pushing back against disturbing allegations leveled at her husband, insisting the claims are untrue as authorities continue their search for the 46-year-old.

Travis L. Turner is a 46-year-old high school football coach from Appalachia, Virginia, who led Union High School’s team through an undefeated season before he mysteriously disappeared on November 20, 2025. Police had been on their way to question him that day regarding a complaint, and within 24 hours, he was reported missing. Investigators later issued ten warrants for his arrest, five for possession of child pornography and five for using a computer to solicit a minor, and he is now considered a fugitive.

Search teams, drones, and K-9 units have been deployed to locate him, while his family maintains his innocence and pleads for his safe return.


“I don’t know anything. I don’t know anything. I’m sorry,” wife Leslie Turner, 46, told The Daily Mail.

Despite the serious allegations, his wife has firmly rejected the claims, insisting they are entirely false and describing Turner as “a good dad and a good husband.”

Leslie Turner said the family has been distraught since his sudden disappearance and is clinging to hope.

“We want him home. That’s it,” she said. “We are all just hanging in there until we get news.”

She also dismissed rumors circulating online that Turner had been spotted carrying a rifle, saying only that she had been “told not to comment.”

Turner had been a celebrated figure in the tight-knit community, leading Union High School’s football team on an undefeated streak before his disappearance. His sudden vanishing, combined with the emerging allegations, has left the town stunned.
