Miss USA and Miss Teen USA forced to quit? Shocking 'reasons' revealed

Miss USA Noelia Voigt has resigned from the crown, seven months into her reign. A few days later, Miss Teen USA Uma Sofia Srivastava also quit from her position. It has come to light that various issues at their workplace including alleged toxic work culture is the reason for this shocking decision. Voigt is the first title holder in the pageant’s history to quit. While Voigt attributed her decision to quit due to certain “mental health challenges”, Uma Sofia stated that her personal values do not anymore align with the organizational values, according to a report on New York Post.

Earlier, the Miss USA social media manager Claudia Michelle had stepped down from her position on May 3. It is believed that the three women decided to quit due to toxic work place culture which included silencing the opinion of others, spreading falsehood regarding them among others.

It has been also been reported that the alleged harassment got so bad that Srivastava’s parents refused to let Miss USA Organizational President Laylah Rose to speak to their daughter.


In a post on social networking site Instagram, Voigt had mentioned that “I am silenced”. Further, it was revealed that there were strict social media guidelines which restricted their interactions, posts on social media, activity on social media among others. It is said to have gotten out of control to such an extent that Laylah Rose is believed to have taken over their social media profiles and were posting under their names.

Noelia Voigt participated in seven pageants before winning the Miss USA title in 2023. In the same year, Uma Sofia Srivastava won the Miss USA Teen title.

Many contestants and observers have also alleged that there is favoritism and partiality in the pageant and many participants have not been treated fairly.
