British artist Morrissey is currently in the news for criticizing Miley Cyrus after parting ways with Capitol Records.

However, controversial pop star Morrissey decided to use Christmas to share some bad news about his career, ending off what already appeared to be a calamitous year.


The British singer announced his breakup with Capitol Records in messages published on his website on December 23 and 24. Before the label had an opportunity to publish any of his music, he revealed this news. He later added that Miley Cyrus had requested to be removed from the fully completed album.

The news was revealed on Christmas Eve when a singer published a page on his website with the title "Miley Is a Punk Rocker." The page featured photos of Morrissey and Cyrus recording in the studio together during happier times.

For those who don't know, "Bonfire of Teenagers," Morrissey's album, was scheduled to be published in February 2023. However, it has not been stated when or if it will be published.


After barely 30 minutes of his performance at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Morrissey abruptly exited the stage in November, upsetting several concertgoers. In the same month, he also postponed numerous other performances due to a band member’s sickness.
