A 60 minutes interview will be released on Sunday, which will show Mark Esper, the Former Secretary of Defense who served under Donald Trump, recalling a ridiculous plan made under the Trump administration of sending 250,000 troops to the southern border of the U.S.

Mike Esper states that this move was suggested by none other than Stephen Miller, who was the senior advisor of the White House then. Esper reminisced how Miller was behind him, and Esper heard a voice speaking about how the caravans were coming and the troops needed to be at the border, a quarter million of them.

He stated that he and Miller were at the Oval Office and were waiting for a meeting with Former President Donald Trump. Esper initially thought that Miller was joking, but when he turned around and saw Miller's dead-serious eyes, he realized that Miller was serious.

Mike Esper said that he told Miller how he did not have 250,000 troops to send to the border for a ridiculous mission. Esper spoke to the Joint Chiefs of Staff's Chairman Mark Milley and requested him to check and ensure that nothing of this sort was being worked on in the building.

Esper said it was ridiculous to consider it and that his department's people were actually working on doing it. He said it was absurd, and they did not even have a quarter million troops to send to the southern border. He continued and said "for what," and that it was ridiculous.
