Microsoft has announced that a dozen games featured in Sony's recent PlayStation Showcase will also be available on Xbox. Sony's event showcased new game reveals, release date announcements, and trailers, which primarily highlighted their availability on PlayStation systems and occasionally on PC, omitting information about rival console releases.

Following the conclusion of Sony's PlayStation Showcase, Microsoft took to Twitter to clarify that several games featured during the event will be multiplatform and will also launch on Xbox. Microsoft's tweet revealed a list of games that will be available on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms, including titles such as Alan Wake 2, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean, Dragon's Dogma 2, Ghostrunner 2, Immortals of Aveum, Marathon, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, Neva, Teardown, The Plucky Squire, and The Talos Principle 2.

While these games will be available on multiple platforms, Sony's trailers primarily focused on their availability on PlayStation systems and occasionally on PC, neglecting to mention their availability on rival consoles.

In addition to the multiplatform releases, Sony announced several first-party games during the event that appear to be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. These include Fairgame$, an original heist IP from Haven Studios, and Concord, a PvP multiplayer first-person shooter currently in development at Firewalk Studios.

Furthermore, Microsoft officially filed an appeal against the UK antitrust regulator's decision to block its proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard on Wednesday.
