Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s kidnapping plot result in 3 more convictions

Federal and state law enforcement officers in Michigan unveiled charges in a shocking conspiracy two years ago this month. The charges state that a gang of radicals planned to abduct Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, take the Democrat to a safe place, and put her through a phoney treason trial.

Regular readers may recall that when the news broke, former US President Donald Trump immediately launched an attack against the Michigan Governor rather than the possibility of homegrown terrorism. At a far-right event just a few months ago, Donald Trump said that the stuff they did with Gretchen Whitmer was “fake”. According to him, the “thing” involving Gretchen Whitmer is similar to those who started on January 6 riot in the US Capitol. Donald Trump said that a “false deal was made”. There was no such contract.




Juries continue to come to the contrary conclusion. Two individuals were found guilty of participating in the conspiracy in August, and as the Associated Press reported, the number of convicts increased yesterday. The guys practised shooting with the scheme's mastermind, according to sources, and throughout the trial, the jury was exposed to violent anti-government rants and arguments in favour of the "boogaloo," a civil war that may break out in the event of a startling kidnapping.

Though it's reasonable to assume that Donald Trump won't be interested in revisiting his assertion that the deadly plan involving Michigan Governor was a hoax, it's important to mention that he wasn't the only Republican to do so.
