Is Michelle Obama not interested in throwing her hat into the ring in the 2024 US Presidential Election? Does she not care for the Democratic Party, which is in deep crisis and divided over the issue of the nominee for the November 5 election? Keeping herself away from the chaos and mayhem into which the party has found itself after the June 27 presidential debate, the former first lady was seen enjoying herself at a party in Mallorca. According to 'New York Post', Michelle was spotted chilling, relaxing, sipping water and talking to ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt and other guests at a party at the villa of James Costos, former President Barack Obama’s onetime ambassador to Spain and Andorra. Back home, many Democrat lawmakers wrote to Joe Biden to step aside after his dismal performance at the debate where he fumbled, struggled to find words and failed to hit back at Republican contender Donald Trump.

Support base shifts from Biden to Trump

In an opinion poll held after the first presidential debate, the support base was found to have shifted from Joe Biden to Donald Trump in as many as six states, previously dominated by Democrats. In another survey, more than half of the voters, mostly Democrat supporters, said that Biden was too old and weak to be the president for another term.

Survey: Michelle Obama can beat Donald Trump

On the other hand, in a survey conducted by Reuters and Ipsos, Michelle Obama was found to beat Trump by a double-digit landslide in the popular vote. On a personal note, the former first lady said publicly about how she broke into “uncontrollable sobbing” during Trump’s inauguration in 2017.

Michelle Obama rules out return to White House

Political experts are perplexed that Michelle Obama has ruled out her return to the White House. Her representative said in March that she had expressed several times over the years that she would not be running for president. He also said that Michelle Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.

Barack Obama Backs Joe Biden

Reacting to the first presidential debate, former president Barack Obama took to social media platform X to back Joe Biden. He wrote in a post on X, "But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November."
