Michael Jordan's son Marcus arrested for DUI, cocaine possession

The 34-year-old had made headlines for his romance with Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa Pippen. The couple ended their on-again off-again romance in October.

Basketball legend Michael Jordan’s son Marcus was arrested allegedly for cocaine possession, driving under influence, and resisting arrest. Neither Marcus Jordan nor his father have given any statement on the matter.

According to TMZ, the 34-year-old athlete was taken to Florida’s Orange County Jail. A mugshot of Jordan has been released. The athlete is seen wearing a black T-shirt in the photo.

Bond set for Marcus Jordan

Page Six reported that Marcus Jordan’s bond has been set at $4,000. This includes separate charges for each offence- $1,000 for driving under influence involving property damage or personal injury, $2,500 for cocaine possession and $500 for resisting a police officer without violence. It is unclear if Marcus Jordan is still in prison.

The younger son of Michael Jordan with his first wife Juanita Vanoy, Marcus Jordan showed promise in basketball. He played high school basketball at Illinois’ Loyola Academy, before he transferred to Chicago’s Whitney Young School.

Marcus Jordan’s talent resulted in a spot at the basketball team of the University of Central Florida (UCF) from 2009 to 2012. He later shifted focus to business instead of sports. He now owns a high-end boutique called the Trophy Room, inspired by the trophy room in the Jordan family’s home.

Jordan was also charged with obstructing a police officer, according to Mirror. This charge was later dropped as part of a plea deal.
