Michael Jackson's son Blanket Jackson makes rare appearance to mark late singer's 65th birthday

Pop icon Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, and would have turned 65 if he were alive. To mark the occasion of their late father's birthday, his sons Blanket Jackson aka Bigi, and Prince Jackson were spotted in a rare appearance.

The two Jackson brothers were seen interacting with fans at the 'Michael Jackson ONE' show by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas.

On Tuesday, August 29, Bigi, earlier known as Blanket, joined his brother Prince in Vegas to honor their late father. The two were seen at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino for the Cirque du Soleil show, which completes 10 years.


As reported in People magazine, Bigi aka Blanket and Prince spoke to Michael Jackson's fans inside the casino, sharing their favorite memories with their father. A fan gifted the sons a photograph of Michael Jackson, with an angel placed on it.

Cirque du Soleil’s website said that members of Michael Jackson's estate were present on the occasion for a public Q&A session to mark the singer's “Blue Sapphire Birthday Celebration”.

Later, the two sons were scheduled to attend a special performance of the show.

“Everything [Jackson] does is with a childlike heart. For Michael, every day was fresh, every day was new, every day had to be bigger and better than the last one,” said MJ's friend and choreographer Jamie King in a statement.

Although Blanket does not appear in public too much, Prince and their sister Paris Jackson have been seen out more.

In August 2018, too, Paris and Prince had attended the 'Michael Jackson Diamond Birthday Celebration' at Mandalay Bay for the late singer's 60th birthday.

Paris had said at Michael's funeral in 2009: "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just want to say that I love him so much."
