Metro Boomin responds to Drake's 'tweet and deleters' dig

After Drake's confrontational live stream, Metro Boomin subtly responds with a viral video, adding fuel to their apparent feud. As tensions escalate, social media posts and deleted tweets show a brewing discord between the once-collaborative artists.

Metro Boomin seems to have addressed Drake's comments, following the 6 God's remarks about "tweet and deleters." Drizzy expressed his sentiments during a recent live stream with Stake, where he confronted his detractors and issued threats directly to the camera.

“To the rest of you — the non-believers, the underachievers, the tweet and deleters — you guys make me sick to my stomach, fam,” he said.

“Look at my eyes — you guys wanna do something? That’s what I thought.”

On Monday (December 18), Metro Boomin, who fans speculated was Drake's intended recipient, appeared to reply by sharing the viral video titled "Whoa Calm Down Jamal, Don't Pull Out the 9" on X (formerly Twitter).

The skit depicts a confrontation between a gathering of Black individuals and individuals portraying racist white characters, all on a basketball court. In the exchange, one of the "white" characters advises a Black person, "Whoa, calm down Jamal, don't pull out the 9," alluding to a 9mm gun.

While Drake didn't specify anyone specifically in his "tweet and deleters" remark, Metro Boomin recently posted then removed a tweet casting shadows on Drake's "Her Loss" album with 21 Savage.

In reaction to a social media post comparing Metro’s Heroes & Villains album to Her Loss in terms of streams, the producer expressed frustration, stating, “Despite H&V having more streams, Her Loss consistently wins rap album of the year. It's evidence that award shows are driven by politics, not merit.”

Shortly after, Drake seemed to respond on his Instagram Stories, quoting lyrics from JAY-Z's "Heart of the City (Ain't No Love)": “Damn, little mans, I’m just tryin’ to do me/ If the record’s two mil, I’m just tryin’ to move three.”

He proceeded to deepen the apparent disconnect by unfollowing Metro Boomin on Instagram. The reason behind the apparent rift between the "Knife Talk" collaborators remains unclear. However, earlier this year, Metro disclosed that he removed Drake from his Heroes & Villains album.
