There are four horsemen riding! The 2025 North American tour of Metallica includes stops at the Sonic Temple and Sick New World festivals. Next year, Metallica will travel across North America as part of their M72 world tour.

A fresh schedule of concerts in North America for 2025 has been revealed by Metallica, which includes headlining appearances at the Sonic Temple and Sick New World festivals. Suicidal Tendencies, Ice Nine Kills, Pantera, and Limp Bizkit will all provide support during the 21-date tour, which is scheduled to take place in April and June of next year. The complete itinerary is provided below, and tickets will go on sale on September 27 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

The dates are an extension of the M72 world tour by Metallica, which got underway in 2023 following the release of the band's most recent album, 72 Seasons. The group will carry on with their party segment, ‘No Repeat Weekends,’ in which they make multiple stops and play two shows at the same location without playing the same song twice.

Editor of Metal Hammer Eleanor Goodman saw Metallica perform live for the first time in April 2023 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and gave it a flawless five-star review. It's evident how much fun they're having right away—a smiling Kirk Hammett running up to give a grinning James Hetfield a fist bump. Rob Trujillo and Kirk practically run rings around each other in For Whom the Bell Tolls. James dedicates King Nothing to the national holiday Koningsdag (King's Day), which seems to involve wearing orange and getting wasted. The holiday has already created a party atmosphere in Amsterdam.

Currently touring Central America, Metallica will perform four shows in Mexico City starting tomorrow, September 20, and running through September 29. Frontman James Hetfield recently starred with Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones in the western thriller The Thicket, but he stated in an interview that he isn't really an actor.

Their 1991 self-titled album, AKA The Black Album, sold more than 30 million copies. The band's second album, 1984's Ride the Lightning, recently charted as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

Metallica's 2025 North American tour begins on April 12 at Sick New World in Las Vegas. They'll travel to major cities such as Syracuse, Toronto, and Nashville, with some stops featuring two shows with no songs repeated. The tour will include performances at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, as well as stops in Philadelphia, Landover, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Tampa. They'll also perform in Houston and Santa Clara before wrapping up on June 29 in Denver.
