Melania Trump, the First Lady, has announced the launch of her own film production company, Muse Films, ahead of the premiere of her self-titled documentary, MELANIA, which Amazon MGM Studios reportedly acquired for $40 million.

In an announcement on November 28, Melania shared a 10-second video on her X account, revealing the name of the production company. The title, Muse Films, appears to reference her Secret Service code name, Muse.

According to the People website, the documentary, MELANIA, is set to premiere exclusively in theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026. According to Amazon MGM, the film offers “unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, through the eyes of the First Lady-elect herself.”

The $40 million Amazon deal was finalized just before President Trump’s second term began, coinciding with Jeff Bezos attending the inauguration.

Currently, two production companies operate under the name Muse Films: one, a European subsidiary of Amazon, and the other, an American firm known for The Virgin Suicides, American Psycho, and Spring Breakers. It remains unclear whether Melania Trump’s Muse Films will be linked to either existing company or function entirely independently. At present, no further details about its operations or affiliations have been disclosed.

"Step inside Melania Trump’s world as she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and reenters public life with her family. With exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments, MELANIA showcases Mrs. Trump’s return to one of the world’s most powerful roles."

The documentary, directed by Brett Ratner, marks his first project since facing sexual assault allegations from multiple women, including Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, and claims of outing a then-18-year-old Elliot Page, all of which he denies.
