Melania Trump and Jill Biden continue their first lady battle after refusing to visit the White House. Melania has declined the current first lady's invitation to tea at the White House on Wednesday, November 13.

The two women had the chance to spend some time together because her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, is meeting with President Joe Biden. Melania, however, was apparently uninterested, as quoted in a report by SheKnows.

Given her resentment of the Bidens for her husband's FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago on August 8, 2022, it appears that the incoming first lady is not interested in any White House customs.


Her stated complaint contradicts what was first reported by the media when the classified document investigation reached her Florida home. In 2022, one report said she was irritated by the circumstances.

According to reports, she would never allow him to keep his stuff in her room and they maintained separate bedroom suites at Mar-a-Lago. Naturally, the investigators allegedly continued searching through her possessions despite this.

Since 1952, when Bess Truman invited Mamie Eisenhower to see the place she would be calling home, the White House tea and tour has been a Washington, D.C. tradition. Every succeeding first lady has commemorated the occasion, but Melania broke protocol in 2021 by failing to show Jill the same courtesy.

Stephanie Grisham, the author of I'll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House and Melania's former aide, told the House select committee on January 6 why the former first lady did not try to make amends with Jill.

Instead, Melania decided to follow her husband's belief that the 2020 election was stolen and that Jill would not be welcomed to the White House by her.
