Meghan Markle communications: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing another change in their communications team, as Emily Robinson, who joined as the couple’s director of communications in late May, has left the role after just four months, as per a report.

Emily Robinson’s Short Tenure with the Sussexes

Before joining the Sussexes, Robinson worked at Netflix as Senior Director of Publicity. Sources told PEOPLE report that she departed of her own accord. A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry said Robinson “oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of 'With Love, Meghan' and additional support for the production company,” adding that she “did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success,” as quoted in the PEOPLE report.

Robinson’s LinkedIn profile has not yet been updated to reflect her time working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Face Another Communications Shake-Up

Staff turnover is not new for the couple. Since relocating from the U.K. to California in 2020, Meghan and Harry have had several communications staff changes, as per the PEOPLE report.

Robinson’s exit comes just weeks after Meghan faced backlash during Paris Fashion Week for sharing a video of herself riding through the city, as per the PEOPLE report.

Critics suggested the footage was insensitive because it appeared near the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, where Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, tragically died in 1997, as per the report. Sources close to the couple told the Daily Mail that Harry was upset by the criticism, emphasizing that Meghan “did not even pass close to the tunnel” and that negative media narratives continue to target the family, as per the PEOPLE report.
