The world has welcomed a new star: Colette Annalise McCaffrey, the first child of model and actress Olivia Culpo and NFL running back Christian McCaffrey. The couple announced the arrival of their daughter on July 13, sharing the joyful news with fans through a series of heartfelt photos on Instagram.

Colette’s birth marks a new chapter for her famous parents, who have been in the spotlight for their achievements on the runway and the football field. Olivia Culpo, 33, a former Miss Universe and fashion icon, and Christian McCaffrey, 29, a star running back for the San Francisco 49ers, tied the knot in a picturesque Rhode Island ceremony in June 2024.

The couple’s announcement featured touching black-and-white images from the hospital, including moments of Olivia in labor with Christian by her side, and a close-up of baby Colette’s tiny hand curled up on a soft blanket. While the couple chose not to show Colette’s face, the images radiated warmth and excitement.

“The scariest and most rewarding of all experiences,” Olivia wrote on her Instagram stories, adding, “As soon as she came into the room I felt most at peace. Look at the grip”.

Olivia also praised Christian’s support during delivery, calling him “the best daddy in the world” and sharing her gratitude for his calming presence. The couple first revealed they were expecting in March, with Olivia expressing her long-held dream of becoming a mother: “I’m so excited and grateful to be pregnant. I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time. It’s very special,” she told PEOPLE.

The journey to parenthood wasn’t without its challenges. Olivia experienced a health scare early in her pregnancy, requiring bed rest for several weeks, but both mom and baby came through healthy and strong.
