Alyssa Buetikofer, SVP and CMO of McDonald's USA, said, "Our fans have been clamoring for the return of Monopoly at McDonald’s, and we’re thrilled to bring it back with a modern, digital spin". She added, "This game is a core memory for so many customers, and we’re excited that those memories can now be shared across generations."


To play, customers order from the Monopoly menu and get a small peel-and-play sticker. Players can scan the sticker in the app to collect a property piece and redeem prizes. Collect-to-win prizes include 1 million American Airlines AAdvantage Miles, a trip for four to Universal Orlando, new cars, and $10,000 shopping sprees, as per the report by GMA.

There are also digital instant-win prizes like DoorDash for a year, digital gift cards, and a trip to the FIFA World Cup 2026. Each game piece also gives a bonus play in the app for a second chance to win through November 2. Customers can register for the game in the McDonald’s app and opt in to rewards.

Pre-registration is open through October 5 and gives 500 bonus rewards points. On October 6, registered players can order menu items and get a physical game piece on packaging or a digital piece on their phone. More than 30 menu items are eligible, from breakfast to dinner.

Popular items include Quarter Pounder with Cheese, McMuffin sandwiches, McCafe iced coffee, hash browns, and large fountain drinks. The app has a full list of all eligible menu items for the game, according to the report by GMA.
