Matthew Perry's severe Ketamine addiction
Matthew Perry's ketamine addiction was reportedly off the charts in the months leading to his death. He passed away last year rather shockingly after not being able to control the effects of ketamine poisoning, and recovered dead from his own hot tub. Perry's death came as a shock and also as a major death investigation for the police authorities, who had to go out on a hunt to find those behind this death.

Did the police make any progress in the Matthew Perry death investigation?

The police began working on the strings that connected Matthew Perry and his ketamine addiction and managed to get information on two doctors who were slipping him ketamine dosage after acquiring them from dealers and suppliers, the most notorious of them being the 'Ketamine Queen', Jasveen Sangha, who has now been arrested in connection to the case. Reports suggest he had spent more than $50,000 a month on ketamine and took 6-8 shots of it every day, as part of his severe addiction.

Perry's PA also involved?

According to police authorities, Perry's personal assistant Kenneth Iwamasa was also knee-deep in this ketamine scandal, providing drugs to Perry through Dr. Salvador Plasencia, both of whom have been arrested by the cops. Plasencia had admitted to selling ketamine to Perry even when he was spiraling into addiction, and gone too far. The doctor claimed that he continued to sell drugs even after knowing the adverse effects it could have on the Friends star, according to the prosecutors.

Therapy gone wrong

Perry had been undergoing anxiety and depression treatment for some time, and had adapted to ketamine therapy. However, he had fallen into the spiral of ketamine usage while being in therapy, and took unregulated dosages that landed him in deep trouble. The doctors kept pushing the drugs and he kept consuming them, according to the assumptions of the authorities.
