Matthew Perry 'superglued' hands to fight drugs, says ex

In a recent revelation, Kayti Edwards, ex-girlfriend of the late actor Matthew Perry, has shared a distressing episode from Perry's battle with addiction. Edwards claims that Perry, known for his role in "Friends," once resorted to supergluing his hands to his knees in a desperate attempt to prevent further drug use.

The incident unfolded during a visit to Perry's Hollywood Hills residence in 2006, a time when he was grappling with the throes of addiction.

Edwards recalls finding Perry on the couch, his hands literally glued to his legs after a night of substance abuse. She recounts the harrowing aftermath, stating, "We were literally ripping the hair from his legs, and he had red, raw patches left behind; it was pretty horrific."


This isn't the first time Edwards has spoken about Perry's struggles. In a 2020 interview, she alleged that Perry had used her to obtain drugs while she was pregnant. Despite these challenges, Edwards remained connected with Perry, even working as his assistant in 2011.

Last month, following Perry's untimely death at the age of 54, Edwards questioned the circumstances, suggesting the possibility of pills being involved.

The autopsy report, released subsequently, confirmed that Perry accidentally died from the "acute effects of ketamine."

The report also highlighted drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine as contributing factors. Perry, in his 2022 memoir, detailed his battles with addiction, revealing he spent approximately $9 million in an effort to stay sober.
