Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is coming up with a new Disney+ series, 'Daredevil: Born Again'. The announcement was made during the San Diego 'Comic-Con' held on Saturday. Marvel Studios informed the fans that the new series would hit the screens in the spring of 2024 and would have 18 episodes.

As confirmed by the actors, the series will see the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. The Kingpin actor reacted to his return as Wilson Fisk by tweeting the famous line from the Daredevil series that ran on Netflix: “When I was a boy.” Further, D’Onofrio followed it with another tweet where he said, "Yes Mr. Murdock…"

Daredevil

Daredevil was a Netflix original series. However, the MCU series Hawkeye and the movie 'Spider-Man: No way Home' have confirmed that the two lead characters of Daredevils – Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock, are now a part of Marvel. Ever since, there have been speculations among comic enthusiasts that MCU will have the two arch-rivals collide under its banner.

D'Onofrio's character, Wilson Fisk, is the prime antagonist and mastermind in the MCU series 'Hawkeye'. Fisk, however, appeared only in the last two episodes of the series, giving a glimpse of what could be in store for the Kingpin. Apart from 'Daredevil: Born Again', D’Onofrio is likely to rival Charlie Cox in Echo, an MCU show expected to release in 2023.

The first season of 'Daredevil: Born Again' will have 18 episodes, more than any other MCU series so far. In fact, none of the MCU series has had more than six episodes in a single season. However, it is still undisclosed whether Born Again will be limited to a single season or will it have multiple seasons.
