Mark Hoppus plans new memoir that will feature his band, cancer journey

American musician Mark Hoppus attended the Los Angeles Children's Hospital gala at the Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar on Saturday night. On the red carpet with his wife, Skye Everly, he spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his life and health. The star accidentally revealed, in 2021, his battle with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma when he posted an Instagram story that was meant for his "close friends" list only.

He felt the treatment and the chemotherapy were much harder than he expected. He recently got his one-year clean scan and is feeling better daily. It can be attributed to a better regimen as well. He’s working out with a trainer, watching his diet, and rebuilding. He recalls when he got sick, his wife researched the best foods for nausea and chemotherapy. So, he has been eating well since he was diagnosed.




Hoppus is also working on a new memoir project. He started writing the book earlier this year, and he’s not that far into it, yet, the artist revealed. The memoir is about his experience in Blink and what he has gone through during his cancer journey. He describes his work as a combination of a music memoir and a medical journey. Although he has an editor and a publisher, Hoppus is keeping silent on the specifics until he’s ready to reveal them. He is finalising the deal and is excited to tell his story.
