Sharing his take on Social Media, Cuban, a billionaire investor and ex- Shark Tank judge, warned that tariffs could cause a ruckus for regular US consumers, according to the Bluesky report.

Tariffs became a big topic again after Donald Trump became President in January 2025. When the U.S. adds tariffs on goods from other countries, the stock market often drops. Before a 90-day pause on tariffs between the U.S. and China, Cuban warned about what might happen.

As mentioned in the Bluesky report, he said importers are keeping goods stuck at Chinese ports, waiting to see if tariffs get cut. If tariffs aren’t reduced enough, there will be a rush to ship all those goods at once. That sudden rush could make shipping and transport more expensive. Cuban summed it up in four words: "More inflation, post tariffs." He means prices will go up even more because of tariffs.

Cuban thinks people in the U.S. will soon see empty shelves, higher prices, and more inflation. Even though some tariffs have been reduced like the 145% tariff on China, Cuban and other experts say the effects will still hurt consumers. Big companies are now talking about how tariffs are affecting their profits, as per reports.

Sony gave a statement in which they said tariffs will cost them about $680 million. To deal with this, Sony might move PlayStation 5 production to the U.S. or increase prices.

Walmart also said in the earnings call that they may have to raise prices soon because of tariffs. Walmart’s CEO, Doug McMillon, said they’re trying to keep prices low, but they can’t handle all the cost pressure alone because of their small profit margins. Based on what companies are saying, Cuban’s warning might come true very soon, according to the reports.
