Marie Yovanovitch slanders Putin on' The Late Show' through her accessory

Marie Yovanovitch sent a message to the Russian President Vladimir Putin on 'The Late Show' through her accessory choice. During the Thursday broadcast, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine wore a simple bracelet with a not-so-subtle phrase on it.

The words "Fuck You Putin" were engraved on that little piece of jewelry that made a clear and bold statement.

The diplomat told "The Late Show" host that during her time serving in Ukraine, she bought similar bracelets in bulk. She would even give these to visitors to the U.S. Embassy. Even Stephen Colbert, the comedian, received one from her.


Who is Marie Yovanovitch?
She was the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine.

She was appointed to the post in 2016.

In May 2019, she was removed from the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine post.

According to the diplomat, she was targeted during President Donald Trump's rule.

The diplomat received praise after testifying at an inquiry dealing with the former President's dealings with Ukraine and his attempt to withhold military aid.

After she was removed from her ambassadorship to Ukraine, she recalled her time in 2019, the year in which she was targeted, following a smear campaign. The diplomat put further light on how the former U.S. President tried to use national security for nothing but his own again.

She even remarked that the Russian President doesn't want to 'own' Ukraine. He just wants to keep it under his sphere of influence.
