March for Israel Rally: Thousands Expected to Join Against 'Rising Anti-semitism', Security Beefed Up
Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations organize “March for Israel” at the National Mall in Washington DC on Tuesday. The gates will open at 10 a.m.

Eric Fingerhut, the president and CEO of the Jewish Federations of North America, emphasized the importance of supporting Israel in its fight against Hamas, drawing parallels between Israel's struggle and America's historical battles against Al Qaeda and ISIS.
With a permit revealing expectations for 100,000 attendees, the colossal rally is set to surpass its pro-Palestinian counterpart held just 10 days ago. In response to potential security concerns, DC Mayor Muriel E. Bowser announced that the National Guard would be assisting in ensuring traffic safety points.
March at the National Mall
Unlike the pro-Palestinian march, the "March for Israel" will be confined to the National Mall, with its main gate on 12th Street NW between Madison Drive NW and Jefferson Drive SW. Video screens with a live audio feed will be available outside the security perimeter, accommodating those unable to reach the main stage. The gates open at 10 a.m., with the main program scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Partners for Progressive Israel will organize a "peace bloc" to present an alternative perspective, advocating for a two-state solution and emphasizing the absence of a military resolution to the ongoing conflict.
The march's pre-show, beginning at 11:30 a.m., will feature performances by students nationwide. As the main event unfolds, notable figures like actress Debra Messing, Broadway actress Tovah Feldshuh, and President of Dillard University Rochelle Ford will take the stage. Israeli musicians Omer Adam and Ishay Ribo are also set to perform.
Key messages of the demonstration include denouncing antisemitic rhetoric, rejecting extreme anti-Israel sentiment, and calling for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. As tensions in the Middle East persist, the "March for Israel" stands as a united front in support of peace, justice, and freedom.
