Manchester United transfer: Erik ten Hag's side agrees to sign Rasmus Hojlund in over $92 million. Why is Denmark striker important for Man Utd?
Manchester United has reportedly finalised the latest recruit in the transfer window after the English soccer club agreed to sign Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund is the third high-profile signing of the transfer window after the recruitment of Mason Mount from Chelsea and goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Who is Rasmus Hojlund?
Rasmus Hojlund is a 20-year-old striker from Denmark. Hojlund joined Atalanta in August 2022 from Austrian club Sturm Graz for a reported 17 million euros. He scored nine goals in 32 appearances in Serie A last season. Hojlund previously played for FC Copenhagen.
Hojlund will be United's sixth most expensive signing ever after Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Antony, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho, the reports added.
United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to boost his striking options after a season in which his side lacked a cutting edge. The Red Devils finished third in the Premier League securing a spot in the Champions League. They also won the League Cup in February. However, Manchester United scored just 58 goals -- 36 fewer than champions Manchester City.
Ten Hag urged his English forward Marcus Rashford to step up his game. Rashford, who prefers to play wide on the left, scored 17 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season and had 30 goals in 56 in all competitions.
Manchester United will host Wolves at Old Trafford in their opening Premier League fixture on August 14.
